Can I set up and test the eSIM in Japan?
Yes. You can install it and check the settings on Wi-Fi in Japan before you leave. The validity period starts when you turn the line on and connect, so keep the added eSIM switched off until you depart. While it stays off, neither the day count nor data usage begins.
Can I use my SIM card and the eSIM at the same time?
Yes. You can keep your current SIM card for calls and SMS and use the DeSiM eSIM for data at the same time. There's no need to remove your physical SIM.
How are days counted (what time does a day reset)?
Days are counted in 24-hour periods starting from when you first connect to the network at your destination (not by calendar date).
Can I use tethering?
Yes, tethering (internet sharing) is included at no extra charge. Availability depends on your device, so we can't guarantee it will work on every phone.
