  • This service can only be used with SIM-free or SIM-unlocked devices and eSIM-compatible smartphones. It cannot be used with tablets or Wi-Fi routers.
  • iPhone XR and later models support eSIM (including the iPhone 17 series).

When should I set up my SIM?

  • A Wi-Fi connection is required to set up your eSIM. Ideally, you should install and activate your eSIM before you depart for your trip.
  • You can activate your eSIM after arriving at your destination, but please note that a Wi-Fi connection is required for the installation process.

How are plan counts determined?

Instead of counting 24 hours from the start of usage as one day, one day is counted as the period from the moment you connect to the local network until 23:59 (Taiwan time) on that same day. The time standard is UTC+8. Please note that this is not Japan time.

My line turned on while I was setting it up in Japan. Does this mean it has been activated?

  • Our eSIM/SIM will become active once it connects to a local network at your destination. Please rest assured that it will not activate if you turn on the line in Japan.

Can I tether?

  • Possible (operation not guaranteed as it depends on the device).

Can I extend the period or top up my data allowance?

  • It is not possible to extend or add data (top-up). If you are using this for a transit (layover), we recommend purchasing an eSIM for your connecting destination as well, as local Wi-Fi may not always be available.

Can I use a SIM card and an eSIM at the same time?

  • Yes. You can use two SIMs by using a SIM plan for calls and SMS, and an eSIM plan for data communication. You can use both simultaneously by making the necessary settings on your device.
  • However, please be aware that if you enable the SIM plan settings, international roaming charges may apply when making calls or sending/receiving SMS.

How many times can I use an eSIM?

  • An eSIM can only be activated on one device and cannot currently be transferred to another device. You cannot scan the same QR code on two devices, but some eSIM plans allow for tethering.

Can I use a SIM card and an eSIM at the same time?

  • Yes, you can use two SIMs at the same time: one for calls and SMS and one for data, using a SIM plan and an eSIM plan.
  • However, please be aware that once you enable the SIM plan settings, you may incur international roaming charges when making calls or sending and receiving SMS.

When should I remove my eSIM?

  • If you want to continue using the eSIM, do not delete it. Once you delete the eSIM, you will no longer be able to read the QR code and it cannot be reissued.
  • If your eSIM doesn't work for some reason, don't delete it.
  • If your eSIM isn't working, please contact our customer support and we'll help you identify and resolve the issue.
